Betty J. Moberger, 94, of Cheyenne passed away peacefully at home on Oct. 10, 2021, at exactly 3:33 pm, the Angels’ number of spiritual guidance, surrounded by loving family and Angels awaiting to assist her into Heaven.
Betty was born March 30, 1927, to Robert Mosher and Ruby (Schulenberg) Mosher In Rulo, NE. The family moved to Cheyenne in 1940 where she attended jr. high and high school, graduating from Cheyenne High School in 1945. Betty attended the University of Colorado briefly then returned to Cheyenne and worked the soda fountain in Roedel Drugstore She married Robert L Cochran on January 26, 1947, which produced their two children, Rodney and Janet. Their marriage ended in 1960 and Betty entered the workforce to support her family starting at J C Penney in the shoe dept. then moving to the administrative office. From there Betty had numerous office positions including Gibson’s Discount Center, Old Faithful Life Insurance, Cheyenne Radiology and finally in the Purchasing Dept at LCCC until her retirement.
She married Karl Moberger in 1965 and they lived a good life guiding her two children into adulthood. They then spent their free time traveling to Hawaii, Mexico, Canada and fishing trips all over Wyoming They mostly enjoyed their membership at Phillips Reservoir fishing club spending weekends with friends and family camping out and fishing. Betty also loved playing canasta and belonged to a canasta club with many of the same friends for over 50 years.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Karl; her brother, William (Bud) Mosher; and niece, Ronda Jean (Mosher) Raynor.
She is survived by her children, Rodney Cochran and Janet (Cochran) Burnett; her grandchildren, who she dearly loved, Christain Langton, Stephen (Rae Ann) Cochran, Jeremy (Angie) Cochran, Heather Mayes, and Shonya Neumann; 17 great grandchildren; 16 great great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Jeannine Mosher nephew, Bob Mosher; and niece, Dena Sheets.
A combined service for Betty and Karl will be held on Friday, Oct 15, at 9:00 am at The Rugged Cross Chapel in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens Cemetery for family and friends.
