Betty Jean (Dalton) Lemaster

It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish, but we must always remember that at the end of one’s path of life starts a new journey. It now comes time to celebrate the wonderful life of an amazing woman and take comfort in knowing that Betty has started her new journey with God. Her life on earth came to an end on March 28, 2025.

Betty was born on October 8, 1931 in Julesburg, Colorado to Wilson and Elizabeth Dalton. Betty lived in Julesburg until the age of eleven at which time her family moved to Pine Bluffs, Wyoming. It is in Wyoming where Betty met her husband of over thirty years, Earl Lemaster, and it was in rural Laramie County, Wyoming where she and Earl raised their family.

Betty was an amazing seamstress and spent countless hours at the sewing machine making and repairing clothes. She liked collecting ceramic pigs and enjoyed supporting her grand-children in their school events. She enjoyed cheering for the Wyoming Cowboys, Los Angeles Rams and most recently the Buffalo Bills. She loved all of her children, grand-children and great-grand-children very much.

Betty is survived by her children, Carole Freeburg (Glenn) of Guernsey, Wyoming, Roger Lemaster of Burns, Wyoming and Alan Lemaster (Loree) of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Grand-children Adam Freeburg (Lisa) of Gering, Nebraska, Austin Freeburg (Kayla) of Douglas, Wyoming, Sarah Moyer (Mark) of Montgomery, Texas and Amanda Fitzjarrald (Alex) of Ft. Worth, Texas. Great-grand-children Jazzlyn, Katelyn, Jayson, Alexa, Breckyn, Holly, Keira, Huntley, Rachel, Avery, Taylor, Grayson and Zoey. She is also survived by great-nieces Viveca Ornelas, Rozana Grant and great-nephew Harry Ornelas, Jr.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, brother Virgil Dalton, sister Velma Daly, niece Lois Ornelas and son Robert Earl Lemaster.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
