Beth M. Schieck, 101, of Cheyenne, died on August 16. 2021 in Cheyenne.
She was born on August 20, 1919 om Fort Collins, Colorado.
Mrs. Schieck was a teacher for LCSD #1 and after retirement she became the church secretary at Grace Methodist Church. Beth belonged to and was active in many civic and social organizations, i.e., Retired Teachers, Delta Kappa Gamma, Ch. BA of PEO, Eastern Star, DAR, Colonial Dames 17th Century, X-JWC, and the United Methodist Women's Club. She was an avid bridge player and belonged to several clubs. She was an incredible fighter and advocate for the handicapped. She was always willing and able to help anyone needing her assistance. Beth and her husband were an instrumental part of establishing The ARC of Laramie County, an organization dedicated to helping the developmentally disabled.
She is survived by a niece, Patricia Summerville; and four nephews, Charles, Keith, Donald, and Dick Miller.
Beth was preceded in death by her husband, James Schieck; her son, Tommy Schieck; her parents, Mark and Effie Miller; and three brothers, Warner, Keith, and John Miller.
Private family burial and services at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens havealready been held.
