Bessie Lou Stockton-Marenda died on November 14, 2018 at the San Juan Living Center in Montrose, Colorado, where she had made her home for 15 years.
She was born on June 7, 1949 in Kimball, Nebraska.
Mom was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and was close to her savior Jesus Christ, attending Calvary Chapel where she had many friends. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and crafts, traveling, square dancing, clogging, and many other fun activities.
Mom was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Marenda; long time companion, John Albrecht; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her sisters and brothers.
She is survived by her children, Sue Smith from South Dakota, Judy Blunt (Phil) of Texas, David (Frannie) of Wyoming, Bonnie Lawton of Nebraska, and Darrel (Joan) of Georgia; 18 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren and one great great grandchild due in February; and long-time special friend, Jack Garrison of Colorado.
Visitation will be Monday, 5-8 at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Private family interment services will be in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
