Beatrice A. Jones, 89, longtime resident of Cheyenne passed away in Woodbine, Iowa, October 23.
She was born June 2, 1927 in Brush, Colorado to Ira and Marjorie (Lindburg) Anderson. She lived in Snyder, Colorado before being raised in Greeley, Colorado. She met her husband, George, while attending Colorado A&M. They moved to Cheyenne in 1952. She worked in the oil and gas leasing business until she was 85. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved to knit and crochet, garden and spend time with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and three brothers, Norman, Doug, and Paul.
Bea is survived by her son, Jack (Cheryl) Jones; grandchildren, Jessica (Mike) Vinal; Melissa Jones (fiancé Ronald Buchanan), and Clint Jones; three great-grandchildren, twins Avery and Aspen Buchanan, and Levi Vinal.
Viewing will be 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4 Mile Chapel with services following at 9:00 a.m. Cremation will take place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens. Interment of her urn will be 3:00 p.m., Friday at Lakeview Cemetery.
