Arva L. Steege, 73, of Pine Bluffs, died Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
She was born February 3, 1942 in Thermopolis, Wyoming, a daughter to Arvy and Mabel (Shelton) Warren. As a child, Arva’s family moved to Cheyenne where she grew up and attended cosmetology school. She worked in Pine Bluffs as a hair stylist. Arva married Martin E. Steege on July 31, 1966 and they made their home and raised their children in Pine Bluffs. Mr. Steege passed away on October 10, 2011.
She enjoyed gardening, animals, crafts and loved spending time with her six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
On December 5, 1968 Arva was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a son, Terry Steege of Pine Bluffs; a daughter, Sue (Jeff) Clark of Cheyenne; six grandchildren, Lauren (Zach) Miller of Cheyenne; Courtney (Jeff Skelton) Steege of Cheyenne; Zac McInerney of Cheyenne; Brandon Steege of Pine Bluffs; Wyatt Clark and Ella Clark of Cheyenne; and two great grandchildren, Zailen Miller and Natalie Skelton, both of Cheyenne.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
Funeral Services will be Monday, June 22, 2015 at 2:00 p.m., at Grace English Lutheran Church in Pine Bluffs. Reverend Kenneth Mars officiating. Interment will follow at the Pine Bluffs Cemetery.
Casket Bearers will be Bret Steger, Stewart Lanning, Ray Kenedy, Mike Sayers, Ian Lanning, Dan Cashman and Josh Merideth. Honorary Bearers will be Zach Miller, Jeff Skelton, Zac McInerney, Brandon Steege, and Wyatt Clark.
Memorial Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society to help find a cure for breast cancer or to the Black Dog Rescue in Cheyenne.
Services are under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
