Arthur “Bumps” Kirchner, 88, of Cheyenne, died on Monday, August 18, 2014 in Cheyenne.
He was born on October 20, 1925 in Trenton, Nebraska.
Mr. Kirchner served in the U.S. Army 71st Infantry Division during WWII. He retired as a clerk and supervisor from the U.S.P.S., and was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral, the V.F.W., and the American Legion.
Mr. Kirchner is survived by his wife, Edith (Fronapfel) Kirchner; a daughter, Terri Kirchner; a brother, Jay Kirchner; a sister, Rosie Dowers (Hugh); three grandchildren, Katie, Mikey, and Kelsie Gley; and three great-grandchildren, Seraya Martin, and Lea and Lové Potter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Gertrude (Caldwell) Kirchner; and a daughter, Jolie Kirchner.
Funeral Liturgy will be Friday, 2:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel with Father August Koeune as the celebrant.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
