Arthur “Art” Ellis, 80, lifelong Cheyenne resident, died Thursday, July 23, 2015 at his home.
He was born August 16, 1934 in Cheyenne, a son of Arthur and Babette (Horn) Ellis. He lost his parents at a very young age and was raised by his grandmother Mary Ann Horn. He married his loving wife Nancy and they had four children, Mary Ann, Sue, Marty and Andy.
Art retired from the Wyoming Air National Guard after 32 years and spent his retirement with family and friends. He enjoyed outdoor recreation and traveling. He was a member of the American Legion and the Investment Club.
Survivors include his wife Nancy of Cheyenne; sons, Marty and Andy Ellis, both of Cheyenne; daughters, Mary Ann Wilson of Gillette; Sue Hall of Cheyenne; a sister, Jackie Winslow of Cheyenne; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandmother.
A Life Commemoration Service will be held on Monday, July 27, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
The family asks that Memorial Contributions be made to a charity of choice.
