Anthony Joseph Garcia, 71, of Cheyenne, died on Friday, September 1, 2017 in Rapid City, South Dakota.
He was born on November 9, 1945 in Rawlins and had lived in Cheyenne for over 20 years.
Mr. Garcia worked in the engineer’s department at the Veterans Administration Hospital. He was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral, was an antique collector, was very artistic, and enjoyed spending time with his great grandchildren.
He is survived by two sons, Paul Garcia (Alpheia Vopat) of Rapid City, and Anthony Garcia, Jr. of Cheyenne; a brother, Damon Garcia of Springfield, Colorado; a half-brother, Floyd Ortega of Rawlins; a stepbrother, Joe Ortega of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two stepsisters, Emma of Portland, Oregon and Sandra of Saratoga; five grandchildren, Zachary Brown, Jesse Kearns, Brittany Brown, Jeremiah Brown, and Brandon Hartmann; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Lyle Garcia; and his parents, Damian and Dora Garcia.
Visitation will be Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Services will be Saturday, 2:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Cremation will follow at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
