Reverend (Dr.) Ann Carol (née Musselman) Miner, 67, of Torrington, Wyoming, was called to her heavenly home on August 25th, 2020. She was born July 29th, 1953 in Lansing, Michigan, to Shirley (née Whitcher) and Don Musselman.
She was a woman who greatly loved education. She graduated from Maumee High School in 1970 and began her college education at the University of Toledo. After commissioning as an officer in the United States Air Force in 1978, she served as an education and training officer with an assignment to the Department of Psychology at the United States Air Force Academy. She received a master’s degree from The Ohio State University and an additional master’s degree and a doctorate degree in psychology at Yale University. After her honorable discharge at the rank of Major she accepted a postdoctoral position at Carnegie Melon University in Pittsburgh and went on to teach as a professor at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Eventually, she received a calling to serve her Christian faith as had her grandfather and earlier generations. Ann earned a Master of Divinity degree from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and was ordained in the Presbyterian tradition. She kept active after her retirement by substitute teaching, and at the time of her passing she was excitedly embarking on her next project, becoming a rural letter carrier.
Ann had many hobbies and passions. She was active in sailing and sailboat racing in her youth and enjoyed outdoor activities, especially travel after her retirement. Going on tours and trips with the friends she had met on previous trips was an adventure that she loved.
It was during her time in the Air Force that she met and married another officer, Colonel Timothy Miner.
She is survived by her daughters, Marla Miner and Abigail (née Miner) Larion. Also surviving are her brothers, Mark (Paula) Musselman and Matthew (Debra) Musselman; niece Amanda Blachman and nephew Chad Musselman. She was preceded in death by her parents Don and Shirley Musselman.
A funeral for the family will take place on Friday, September 4th, at 2:00 PM. To view her obituary and a live webcast of her services go to
