It is with great sadness that the family of Angelo Dominic Ramirez announces his passing after a long illness, on Sunday, December 2, 2018, at the age of 78. Angelo will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Rosabelle and his children, Lou (Eddie) Lopez, Lisa (Rick) Moyte, Angelo Jr. (Dawn) Ramirez, and Artie (Kristen) Ramirez.
Angelo will also be fondly remembered by his eight grandchildren, Isaac (Kendra) Camargo, Savannah (Josh) Murdock, Justin Mills, Nicholas Lopez, Ricky Moyte, Mariah Ramirez, Anthony Rodriguez, Andrew Rodriguez; and his great-grandchildren Trinity Murdock, Trey Murdock, BellaRose Murdock and Trae Mills. Surviving siblings Bernardo Ramirez, Delores Garcia, Judy Padilla and Diana Marez. Angelo was predeceased by his parents Adolph and Mary Ramirez, brothers, Arthur, Ted, Adolph Jr. and Michael; sisters, Aurora Estorga, Mary Alice and Mary Louise. Angelo will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends.
Angelo was born on March 26, 1940 in Fort Collins, Colorado to his loving parents, Adolph and Mary Ramirez. He was the sixth born of twelve children.
Angelo was always a hard worker, from the time he was a young boy until his illness slowed him down. In his early working years, he traveled to various places in the United States working in oil refineries. The last 30 years of his career he worked for P.S. Cook Company who subcontracted work with Cheyenne Frontier Refinery where he was a superintendent. Angelo was also a retired member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Lodge 101 in Denver, Colorado.
Angelo retired at the age of 55 years old and was able to travel and enjoy time with his beloved wife. His children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were his pride and joy.
Angelo was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was devoted to praying the rosary and had a deep love for the Holy Family.
Vigil for the Deceased will be Thursday, 7:00 p.m., at St. Mary’s Cathedral.
Funeral Liturgy will be Friday, 1:00 p.m., at St. Mary’s Cathedral.
Interment will be in Olivet Cemetery.
A reception will immediately follow the interment at Little America.
