Andrew L. Ruskanen, 78, of Cheyenne, died on Monday, January 18, 2016 in Cheyenne.
He was born on September 12, 1937 in Hanna, Wyoming. Mr. Ruskanen graduated from Hanna High School in 1955 and received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Wyoming in 1959.
He was a member of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church and enjoyed fly fishing, yard work, gardening, University of Wyoming sports, reading, classic movies, and family.
Mr. Ruskanen is survived by his wife, Sandra Ruskanen, whom he married on February 14, 1960 in Laramie; two sons, Matthew Ruskanen (Cheryl) of Cheyenne and Richard Ruskanen (Lise) of Atco, New Jersey; brother, Don Ruskanen of Cheyenne; four grandchildren, Sean (Valerie) of Twentynine Palms, California, Eryn and Ryne of Cheyenne, and Dylan of Atco; and six brothers-in-law, Philip, Robert, James, Gail, Merne, and Wayne Hammitt.
He was preceded in death by a son, Andrew Ruskanen; brother, Raymond Ruskanen; and parents, Andrew and Irene (Lucas) Ruskanen.
Life Commemoration services will be Friday, 3:00 p.m., at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church.
Burial of his urn will follow at Beth El Cemetery.
