Andrea (Dempsey) Marsh died peacefully on October 5, 2018 in Cheyenne, Wyoming with her loving husband holding her hand.
Born May 10, 1953, in Oak Park, Illinois. Andrea grew up in Mt. Prospect, Illinois, then Golden, Colorado. A graduate of Golden High School, and member of the mountaineering club, she continued her studies at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado, receiving her degree in Education. Upon graduation she followed her life-long passion of working with children.
Andrea married her devoted husband Stephen Marsh, Safety Director of the Schwartzwalder Mine in Golden. After living in Dalhart, Texas and Montrose, Colorado they settled in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Andrea was preceded in death by her daughter Genny Ann Marsh, and her father Edward Dempsey. In addition to her husband Steve, she is survived by her mother Alice Dempsey of Golden, brothers Michael, Greg (wife Aileen), Tom and Jim, sisters Sharon and Mary Jo (Chuck Bacik), brother-in-law Douglas, and numerous nieces and nephews. Generous, devoted and caring, she was loved by many and will be missed by all.
A service will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Golden at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 26, 2018.
