Alice Marie Schneider, died peacefully on May 23, 2023 in Cheyenne. She was born March 12, 1934 in Greeley, Nebraska, to Frank and Maude Hensman.
Her family moved to Cheyenne in 1938. Alice graduated from Cheyenne High School in 1952.
Alice met her husband, Kenneth, while she was working at Cheyenne Federal Savings and Loan as a bookkeeper and teller. They married on March 14, 1954. She retired as a corporate Secretary in 1987.
Alice and Ken were square dancers for 22 years on Dazee Bristol's Frontier Days parade float. They wintered in El Mirage, Arizona, for 20 years. Alice also volunteered at the Old West Museum and had a love for the history of Cheyenne. She collected old postcards from around the city and enjoyed touring the many great historic homes in Cheyenne. Alice and Ken attended many yearly Vanosdall Family reunions with her sisters and cousins from around the country.
Alice is survived by her children, daughter Gayle (Tracy) Ourada, son, Alan (Pam) Schneider and son Glen Schneider, all of Cheyenne. Alice has four grandchildren, Tessa and Mason Rosenau, and Kaitlynn and Joshuah Schneider. She also has two great-grandchildren, Renessme and Lucian.
Alice was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenny in 2018, her parents, and two sisters, Fran Fennel and Bernice Schreiner.
The family is very grateful for the wonderful care Alice received by the staff and caregivers at Pointe Frontier and later at Aspen Wind. They helped her through many difficult times in her final years. Private services will be held by the family.
