Alfredo Eloy Pineda, 98, of Cheyenne died Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
He was born January 24, 1916 in Mora-Lucero, New Mexico. He was a welder for the Union Pacific Railroad for 30 years, retiring July 5, 1978. He was one of the best automobile mechanics around. He loved going fishing, hunting, and storytelling. Alfredo was a resident at the Cheyenne Health Care Center for the past three years. He loved and was loved by everyone there. He will be truly missed.
Alfredo is survived by three sons, Steven (Delilah) Pineda, James (Diane) Pineda, and Larry Pineda; daughter, Mary Priddy; four grandchildren, Magnus (Alisha)Pineda, Philip Pineda, Damon Pineda, and Ronnie Priddy; two great-grandchildren, Amaya Gabriel Pineda and Hailey Priddy; two sisters, Irene Martinez and Rosanna Vigil; two brothers, Ted Pineda and Jose (Giovanna) Pineda and numerous nieces and nephews, too many to name, but nonetheless
loved beyond words.
He was preceded by his parents, Torivio and Nevis (Montoya) Pineda; his beloved first wife, Rosalie Flora Pineda; son, Bobby Pineda; grandson, Robbie Priddy; sister, Beatrice Trivino and four brothers, Bilisandro, Adolfo, Elisardo, and Daniel Dale Pineda.
Funeral Liturgy will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Kevin Koch as celebrant. Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank all staff at the Cheyenne Healthcare center and his physician, Bilal Ahmad Khan for the tender loving care.
