Albert Earl Warby, 89, of Cheyenne, died Friday, December 30, 2016 at his home.
He was born May 21, 1927 in Vernal, Utah a son to Marion and Minnie (Harris) Warby. Albert attended schools in Vernal, joining the U.S. Army following graduation. Upon his discharge he returned to Utah and attended BYU in Provo receiving both his Bachelor’s Degree and his Master’s Degree. He taught school in Oregon before returning to Utah and came to Cheyenne in 1974.
Albert married Cathrin Fryer on September 26, 1948 in Draper, Utah. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Albert was very active in Church activities. He was also an exercise enthusiast, making his way to the gym every morning. He delivered “Meals on Wheels” for a number of years, and in earlier years had an interest in inventing things and horses.
He is survived by his wife Cathrin of Cheyenne; four daughters, C. Marian Warby of Everett, Washington; Linda Warby of Cookeville, Tennessee; Helen Evenson of Independence, Oregon; Jayne (David) Gilday of Lafayette, Tennessee; two sons, David (Marcia) Warby of Arlington, Washington; and Tom (Carolyn) Warby of Culpeper, Virginia; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and a sister.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 9:00 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Four Mile building, 7721 Badger Road, Cheyenne. Interment will follow at Beth El Cemetery.
