Albert D. Smith, 78, passed away Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017
He was the Fleet Maintenance Manager for the City of Cheyenne for 30 years retiring in 2008. He enjoyed watching football and admiring his huge model car collection. He also enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
Albert had a big heart and was always giving the shirt off his back to anyone that was down on their luck. He enjoyed making people laugh and always had a joke to share or a smart remark to enlighten anyone’s day. He will be deeply missed by all!
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Marva, son Paul Smith(Lorraine) of Cheyenne, step-daughters, Cindy Pearce (Jeff) of Dover, FL, Jody Hammond of Cheyenne, Charmin Hayes (Doug) of Rockledge, FL, brother Marty Smith (Sue), sisters, Ardis Little, both of Cheyenne and Linda Chaput of Mesa AZ, brothers-in-law Bob Clapp and Bob Chaput (Jan) both of Cheyenne and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Kelly Black, his parents, Earl & Myrtle Smith and two sisters, Donna Peterson and Corky Clapp.
Viewing will be Monday, Aug. 28 in the afternoon until 8 pm, Tuesday, all day and Wednesday morning. Services will be Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2017 at 2 pm at Wiederspahn’s Funeral Home.
