Albert Hernandez, 95, of Cheyenne, died Sunday, March 12, 2017 in Cheyenne.
He was born on April 3, 1921 in Oak Creek, Colorado. His family settled in Minitare, Nebraska where he met and married his wife, Mary Hidalgo. A year after their marriage they moved to Cheyenne. He was a WWII veteran and served in the Air National Guard for 33 years. He retired from the VA after 31 years.
Albert is survived by a daughter, Alice Romero (Sam) of Cheyenne; son, Theodore Hernandez (Janet) of Centennial Denver, Colorado; daughter-in-law, Helen Hernandez of Vancouver, Washington; brother, William Hernandez of Cheyenne; sister, Caroline Nation of Las Vegas, Nevada; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Hernandez; parents, Adalbert and Anna (De La Torre); son, Albert, Jr.; and sisters, Beatrice, Sarah, Rebecca, Anna, Virginia, and Lucy.
Vigil for the Deceased will be Thursday, 6:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Funeral Liturgy will be Friday, 10:00 a.m., at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Interment will follow in Olivet Cemetery.
