June 15, 1938 — October 8, 2017

Agnes “Nana” Vialpando, 79, of Cheyenne, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 8, 2017, at Davis Hospice Center. She was born June 15, 1938, to Jose and Eloisa Fresquez in Chacon, New Mexico. Upon moving to Cheyenne, she attended and then graduated high school from St. Mary’s Catholic School in 1956. She went on to marry her husband of 60 years, Ernest Vialpando, on October 12, 1957, at St. Mary’s Cathedral. She worked in Central Supply at DePaul Hospital for 34 years before retiring to become a stay-at-home Nana to all of her kids. She enjoyed baking, cooking, working in her beautiful garden, and constantly making her house a home to all who entered. She was preceded in death by her parents Jose and Eloisa, sister Lucille Fresquez, and brothers Eloy and Lee Fresquez. She is survived by her husband Ernie, son Jay Vialpando, daughter Denise Vialpando, brothers Raymond Fresquez, Jess Fresquez, and Arsenio (Lorraine) Fresquez, grandchildren Eloy Vialpando (Marti), Holly (Bryan) Wright, Aimee Hammer (Scott Kritzmire), and Corianne Hesch; great-grandchildren Becca, Brandon, Devin, Kodi, Ashlee, Shelby-Lynn, Jesse, Thomas, and Nash; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and family friends who knew her as “Nana.” Vigil for the deceased will be at 6:00 PM, Wednesday, October 11, at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Funeral liturgy will be Thursday, October 12, at 10:30 AM, at St. Mary’s Cathedral with Father August and Father Dominic officiating. Burial will be at Olivet Cemetery with a reception to follow at Hartman Hall. Those who wish may offer a mass in her name at St. Mary’s Cathedral, or offer a rosary for her at any time. She touched many lives and was loved by so many. She will be dearly missed by all who called her their Nana.
