Tina Vigil, 60 years old, of Carpenter, Wyoming, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family Sunday, April 21, 2024. She was born on July 2, 1963, in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Olin and Doti Christy.
She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Michael Vigil; Son Nathan (Samantha) Vigil; daughter Sara (Joe) Ronish; granddaughters, Shayla and Sydnee Vigil; Mother Doti Christy; siblings Mark Christy, Olin Christy Jr., and DeeDee (Joe) Mazzer; In-laws Sylvia Vigil, Debbie (Fred) Reed, David (Liz) Vigil, Kathy Vigil, Myra (Michael) Taylor, Joseph (Nancy) Vigil; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Tina was preceded in death by her father Olin Christy Sr.; brother Bruce Christy; Mother-in-law Helen Vigil and brother-in-law, John Vigil.
On May 5, 1990, Tina was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Tina had strong faith in Jehovah God and the promises recorded in the Bible that the time is fast approaching when mankind will live in perfect health and peace under God’s Kingdom. She looked forward to the fulfillment of Isaiah 33:24 where it says: “…no resident will say, “I am sick.”” This hope was especially precious to her since she personally battled ovarian cancer.
She married Michael on April 30, 1982, and together they raised 2 children. One of her favorite Bible verses can be found at 3 John 4, where it says: “No greater joy do I have than this: that I should hear that my children go on walking in the truth.” An even greater joy for Tina was that Michael also dedicated himself to Jehovah and was baptized on November 2, 2019.
Tina worked professionally for 30 years at the Wyoming Office of State Lands & Investments. She took pride in her secular work but understood that true satisfaction comes from pleasing Jehovah God and serving him fully.
Tina was a very loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend to many. She was always hospitable and willing to listen to others and provide a helping hand. Anyone who knew Tina could attest to her selflessness, patience, and warm smile.
During her final year she truly enjoyed and found peace in the original songs provided at

She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 1:00 pm (MST) at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, located at 3422 N. College Drive, Cheyenne, Wyoming.
