Robert Paul Rainbow, 71, of Cheyenne, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 12, 2019. He was born on October 10th, 1948 in Denver, Colorado to Paul W. Rainbow and Lois I. Ochs. Robert retired as a school teacher after teaching for more than forty years. He was extremely passionate about watching his students learn and grow and he thoroughly enjoyed bumping into students throughout the years and catching up. He was also actively involved in mentoring and serving at the Iron Mountain Country Church which he and Linda attended. The love and care that he continuously displayed for his family inspired many and his joy and passion for life was contagious. Being actively involved in his children and grandchildren’s lives was paramount to him and it brought him great joy and satisfaction as he watched them grow.
He is survived by his wife, Linda K. Rainbow of Cheyenne, WY; siblings, Jon Rainbow of Louisville, KY, Linda Gregg of Portland, OR, children; Marci Shuck of Cheyenne, WY, Toby Rainbow of Spokane, WA, Jeremy Rainbow of Spokane, WA, and Heath Rainbow of Johnstown, CO, as well as seven grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday, December 21st at 10:30 a.m., at Iron Mountain Country Church located at 1971 County Rd. 109 in Cheyenne, WY 82009 (off of Horse Creek Road.)
