Glen Alan Cox

April 23, 1980 — August 24, 2023

Glen Alan Cox, age 43, died unexpectedly on August 24th in a motorcycle accident. He is survived by his wife Danielle; his children Zai and Carter; and 3 stepchildren Kylie, Reese (David), and CJ. Glen is also survived by his parents Roger, and Bonnie Cox; and 5 siblings Roger (Andrea), Allison (Steve), Michael (Tonya), Kris (Danny), and Joline (Ty). He was the favorite uncle to 19 nieces and nephews and 16 great nieces and nephews.

Glen was born in Cody, Wyoming on April 23rd, 1980, but spent most of his childhood building forts in the deserts of Apple Valley, California. As a freshman in high school Glen’s family moved to Evanston, Wyoming where he developed a love of computer programming, an incredible work ethic, became the family geek squad hero, and gained a poodle. He graduated from Evanston High School in 1998 and promptly served a 2-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Roseville, California. Those 2 years serving the Lord solidified a faith in Christ that was a driving force for the rest of his life. Upon his return, Glen attended the University of Wyoming. During those years in Laramie, Glen met and married his first wife, and became a father to two rascal children, Zai Elizabeth in 2004 and Carter Alan in 2006. He graduated with a computer science degree and promptly moved to Cheyenne Wyoming in 2007 where he has remained ever since. For 16 years, Glen worked for Dish Network and has built strong friendships with many of his coworkers. Glen’s need for stability and his perfectionist personality drove him to be an incredibly hard worker.

In February of 2020, Glen married Danielle Erickson and blended their families to include his 2 children and her 3 children. The family got to know one another all too well during the Covid quarantine of 2020.
Glen was a planner and an organizer from the time he was young. He loved others through service and was always there the second you needed him. His large family has countless memories of playing video games and watching every movie he ever loved with him. He was the funniest tease, the biggest kid in every room, the craziest uncle, the first to love on babies, and he was never happier than when he was with his family. His dedications to his kids never wavered and he instilled in them his love of all things sci-fi and space. His quirky personality is unmatched, and its absence will leave a hole in all our lives.
