December 10, 1947 — August 20, 2024

Doris (Sue) Keefe, 76, born December 10, 1947, in Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania passed away Tuesday, August 20th, 2024, in Cheyenne, Wyoming from medical complications following successful abdominal surgery. Sue was surrounded with love and support of her husband, children, and numerous other family and friends who were able to be notified and rush to her side. Having six brothers, Sue was the only daughter of Leon and Doris (Weiss) Stonier. Married on September 3rd, 1966, to Joseph William Keefe in Tunkhannock, PA. As military wife to Joe, the two moved among the country where Sue left a legacy of generosity, love, commitment, and support of others in her wake. Her gentle support and kindnesses born of deep nurturing instincts have always ensured that all who entered her life have and will forever remain standing members of her family.

Sue worked for many years as a religious education director before becoming an administrative support professional at the Wyoming Medical Society until her retirement.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers Leon and Walter. She is survived by husband Joseph Keefe; children Cathy (Beecher) Strube, Joe, Christopher (Tamara), Joshua (Mandy), and Andrew (Tess); brothers Charles, George, Scott, and Kenneth Stonier; 11 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, and bonus children; and loved special people she cherished, and supported.

Services will be held at 2PM, Wednesday, August 28, 2024, in Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. A reception will be held at The Gathering Place, where friends and family are invited to celebrate Sue's remarkable life. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Childrens Hospital of Aurora.
